Posted: 8/13/04 at 4:21pmI have only had one experiance where I had tickets and then the close was posted -- no porblrm at all -- Box Office was very accomodating and offered exchange for another night or refund...no questions asked

Posted: 8/13/04 at 5:16pmIf you use a credit card and go through Ticketmaster to get tickets, your account is automatically credited if a show closes or a performance is cancelled. I've had this occur a couple of times over the years and my account was credited the next day. No problem.

It's no big secret that FIDDLER is doing poorly at the box office. My suggestion is that you wait until the day of performance and get your tickets at the TKTS Booth. We had mid-orchestra seats when we bought our tickets that way a few weeks ago.
There are also discount codes available at BROADWAYBOX.COM.
To me it seems foolish to pay full price for a show when discounts for it are available.

I don't see Fiddler discounts on Broadwaybox.com. Should I be looking somewhere else?
Also, what I want is the matinee on Saturday 10/16 (my son's 9th birthday). Ticketmaster is currently selling center orchestra row R. Can I really expect to get better seats via broadwaybox or TKTS?

Posted: 8/15/04 at 12:32pmYou can VERY probably get same seats at TKTS. I tell you last week, even though many people were in NYC for summer holidays, they were selling center orchestra at 50% discount for a Saturday night show. If certainty is very important to you, then just go for the Ticketmaster ones though, I don't want to be responsible for ruining your evening if for some reason you can't find good discount seats!! Enjoy the show though. I did.
