The moment I got to the theater- I knew something was rotten in Denmark- We decided to go to the 4:20 show, and when we got there they told us they werent seating us till 4:35 due to projector problems., so I was like- woah, that strange. they finally seat us and make us sit through about 10 previews- for movies ranging from a Paul Walker movie about dogs to Adam Sandler and a magic remote to Mandy Moore as an American Idol-type contestant and a movie about smoking. So finally the movie starts- it was all going good till all the sudden during the scene before Max and Leo meet- the projector cut out. It was about 10 minutes before they got it running again and then it was from the waist up and you couldnt see faces for about 5 minutes. We get into I Wannabe A Producer and it cut out again. It was alittle longer. it was just so infuritating. Finally it comes back on and went. Will was hilarious- I almost peed myself during Guten Tag Hop-Clop, and Keep It Gay w/ Roger and Gary was hilarious. Jai R was hilarious in it too. Uma was great, she had such a good voice- who knew she sang? Her dancing was great too. Matthew and Nathan of course were awesome! The little old ladies of Along Came Bialy was great (was Andrea Martin one of them or was I seeing things?) and during Good Luck on Opening Night, the posters made me laugh- all modern shows. Springtime for Hitler killed me, it was hilarious. The Rio squence was really good. So we get to Till Him and it was all going good till all the sudden the entire theater went dark- the power had gone out to the whole place. I was so pissed. We had all been through the first 2 outages but this was about 5 minutes to the end and it cuts- It was ridiclious- luckly- we get our tickets for the next time we go for free. So we've gotta go back to that theater.
Afterward- I picked up the movie soundtrack- it is great. Highly recommend it.
But overall what I saw of the movie was HILARIOUS but it was so horrible of an experience.
*Was Jeffry Denman in the movie- the guy who wrote A YEAR WITH THE PRODUCERS- was he in it?*
*and was that Mel Brooks singing during Springtime for Hitler about join the Nazi party.*
You're not alone. When I went to see Rent, the projector stopped both times I saw it. Once during Without You and the other during the scene before Tango: Maureen. Also, the lights were on the whole time during the second showing. There was also a very annoying buzzing sound during the whole movie. Movie theaters need to get there act together!
That was not Mel Brooks on screen, but I do believe it was his voice.

Jeffry Denman is not credited. Too bad --I missed him!
You're experience was horrendous LOL. Don't give up!

I'm glad you still enjoyed the movie despite all of their screw ups!
I once got to a theatre an hour early to get a good spot. I was the first in, and got my place in the last row (my fav) and was saving one for a friend. The theatre meanwhile became packed with not a seat to spare. Literally five minutes before the movie starts, a worker comes in a tells everyone that the movie had been moved to another theatre across the way. Meaning I was the last one out so I ended up getting one of the worst seats. I was so pissed...
For $9 a go, you'd expect better service...

I'd have given anything for that to happen.

That was just Mel's voice during the "Springtime For Hitler" scene - same as in the Broadway show. However the man himself appears at the very end - to tell you to go home!

When I went to see Rent the sound was all messed up and you could hear the sound effects and speaking fine but when they sang a song you could barely hear them singing they sounded off in the distance. It was annoying
I totally agree with your avatar ClumsyDude15.

Mel sings "Don't be stupid, be a smarty. Come and Join the nazi party", in the original film, the Broadway show, and in the film, that line is HIS line, no one else does it besides him. He was also Hilda the pigeon(I think or one of the pigeons) and Tom the cat(the cat that gets thrown during "Never say good luck")
Now, when I saw this I found basically everyone I've seen in the Broadway show, except I couldn't find Hunter Foster. The internet movie database, and the cd say that he's part of the film's ensemble, but I couldn't find him, neither could my mom. My sister said she found him, as one of the accountants during I Wanna Be A Producer, but I still couldn't find him. I saw guys who looked like him, but I'm still not sure if either was him.
