I've seen Colin in Rent three times, twice as Gordon and once as Mark. He was fanTASTIC as Mark -- almost better than Matt Caplan who I love. He's great as Gordon as well. He's a total sweetheart and I hope he gets the opportunity to do even more with his immense talent!!

I saw him in Rent as Roger. Also saw him in the reading of Easter Rising. I know plenty of people have seen his Mark in Rent and his Jonathan in tick, tick . . . BOOM! but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to do so.

He's a great Roger. His voice is a bit too pretty, but it's good. It's his acting that really makes the role. He has this engaging presence. A very internally frustrated feel to his Roger. His facial expressions are excellent. I saw him on two different occasions and he was amazing the first time, and solid but not quite as nuanced or believable the second time. He had better chemistry with Caren Lyn Manuel than Krystal Washington. I don't think he quite nailed all aspects of the character (don't care for his LMC), but he's pretty damn good. His second act is especially good. Definitely up there among my favorites in the role. There are no pictures of him as Roger. I'd say he's only gone on a couple dozen times in the role, if that many. He started coming into his own in the role this year (he had probably gone on less than a handful of times before 2004/2005).

He was great in Easter Rising. His characters always seem to have this rich inner life. It was just a reading, but I feel he's great with facial expressions so you really got a sense of what his character is like. I think he's a wonderful talent. Updated On: 1/23/05 at 01:53 PM

I saw Colin playing Mark (Jan 13th)and after I got over him being taller then Roger (Jeremy Kushnier) and he opened up his mouth and sang, I liked him! I am just used to Mark being a "shorter" guy, I know that is stereotyping the Mark character, but that is the only kinda Mark I have seen (have seen RENT 6 times) Updated On: 1/31/05 at 01:25 PM

I saw Colin last summer as Mark, understudying Matt Caplan. I love Matt so I must say I was a bit upset when I saw that he wasn't there...but then I saw that Scary Spice was out too and I couldn't have been more excited! Colin was really great as Mark, and I ended up really liking him.

I felt bad for him though because he mixed up the lyrics in the first scene:
"December 24th, Nine PM
Eastern Standard Time
From here on in
I shoot without a script
See if anything comes of it
Instead of my old ****
First shot -- Roger
With the fender guitar he just got out of hock"

And then just stopped talking and looked lost...Jeremy chimed in a few seconds later with "This won't tune", and Colin picked it back up. I guess that happens in live theater! Despite the mix up, he did a great job with the rest of the performance.

I saw Colin as Roger the 4th time I saw RENT. He was the best I'd seen. I'd seen Manley Pope twice and Jeremy once. Colin was much better.

I saw Colin in Tick, Tick,...BOOM! last spring and he was fantastic. I could see him being an excellent Mark.

I've seen Colin as Mark, Roger and Gordon in Rent. And as Jon in tick, tick...Boom! and as Andrew in the reading of Easter Rising. I think he's a great Mark AND Roger - he handles the main characters incredibly well. He was amazing as Jon as well - great facial expressions and a fantastic voice.

Everyone should DEF get tickets to see him and Sarah in a few months.

I would love to see Colin in TTB. He was fantastic in Michael Arden's Easter Rising! :)
