I've been a Playbill collector since the early 70's, and my tastes have always skewed for the older fare (70's and older). I've amassed quite the collection of vintage Playbills, and it's reached the point where I now own almost every Playbill from the past 75 years or so, minus the extremely rare or hard to find Playbills from limited runs, shows that closed in previews, etc. I scour eBay, but it's filled with all the common plays and musicals you'd expect. I've been unable to find any groups or resources for those that collect the vintage Playbills as I do, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of collectors or collectors groups with similar collections that are focused on trading and selling the vintage Playbills. All I've been able to find in my search are forums where people trade Playbills from the past 10 years, and that's not my area of interest.
I have a few "white whales" as it were, and based on the paltry selections on eBay (which I check frequently), I don't think they'll ever be found unless I find a group of collectors who have saved these Playbills and are interested in selling/trading. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.
