Does anyone know how to get to the stage door at the Colonial Theatre in Boston? Apparently the layout is really weird, I don't know. And yes, there is a Boston board, but that place gets no action.

Mythus - As you leave the main exit for the theater, go right and turn the corner onto Tremont St., the Alleyway to the door is located between Emerson College and the Emerson Majestic Theater.

Yup go around by the Dunkin Doughnuts. It's really shady back there, but what do you expect.

The beginning of the alley is a little shady, yes, but the actual stagedoor area is very open and well-lit.

On a similar note, where is the stagedoor at the Opera House?

If I remember correctly the SD for the Opera House is a long walk from where the main entrance is. I think it is next to the loading dock to the hotel behind the theater. It was wierd to get to because there are a few alleyways before you get to the alley that leads to the door. Your best bet is to plot out where it is beforehand and wait at the entrance to the alley. They all come out the same way if I recall. Besides, I believe the alleyway isn't lit all that well so you might want to wait closer to the street. Have fun!! Updated On: 3/10/06 at 02:00 PM

I figured it was in that alley (or the one right between the OH and the bar next door). Thanks!

Are you referring to the Opera House or Colonial? Colonial is on Tremont St. next to the Majestic. Opera House is on Washington, I want to say its Summer Street (I think the SD entrance is behind the Swissotel Boston) I looked on Mapquest and that's the only street I can see that runs close to Washington. If you're not sure, ask one of the ushers at the entrance. Enjoy.

If you are at the Opera House and want to go to the stage door, get an early start and run because it will take you forever to get out of the theater and to the alley.

Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

Mythus did you happen to see the show tonight (3/14)? Anyone go? I was there! It was kinda an unexpected last minute thing.
