While Michelle Williams is extremely talented (and was a better Aida than she got credit for,) I can't see her in the role of Shug at all. She comes off as very meek and mild to me, where as I see Shug as someone who defines sheer boldness and ferocity.
Hopefully it works out for the best. I'm deffinetly looking forward to seeing this company!

Posted: 2/26/07 at 11:31pmOK NOW! it was cute and I was all for it at first but stunt casting is starting to piss me off! Oh well let me not get upset cause I don't have to by a ticket. This will just be interesting. I guess I can't get mad at Michelle she can actually sing, not too sure about her acting. But I can gurantee that she will have nothing on Elizabeth. that lady is the truth!
