The above article fails to include PETER PAN - a show with LOVELY songs that is celebrating its 50th Anniversary which has been revived to Broadway 6 times and has several different Cast Recordings.

I don't mean to complain just because this is one of my favorite shows - but its never mentioned. I remember reading articles from when Adolph Green died and it didn't mention his working on PETER PAN. Nor did other articles written later about concerts.

Why disregard such a beloved show??

Rant over.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I agree. I think it's because Peter Pan is considered a children's show and snobby people don't consider children's shows as art. But I think they did an excellent job with it.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Don't worry...the article also forgot to mention "Bonanza Bound" and their screenplay for "The Bandwagon". Perhaps "Peter Pan" was omitted because they didn't write the entire score?
