It's not an age specific monologue, though it's usually done by girls who are in their young teens, in Paul Zindel's "The Effects of Gamma Rays on the Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds." I can't remember the character's name, it's neither of the daughters in the play, but it's a speech that a girl gives about her science project.

It's very odd and very funny.
