Comic Broadway Song Question

Yes! My school's doing Beauty and the Beast, and a senior girl tried out fo Cogsworth. So, she had to sing "Be Our Guest" or "Beauty and the Beast", and she picked Be Our Guest. So she walks up and goes "Hi, i'm trying out for Cogsworth. And even though Cogsworth doesn't sing this song, here's how he'd sound if he did". And she's just speaks the whole thing in character. It was hilarious and everyone loved it.
