re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

I love the idea of Jerry Seinfeld as Tevye - that cracked me up!

BwayLeadman wins.
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

Tammy Faye as madame Morrible... THAT'S an interesting twist... (oh wait, we're supposed to WANT to see it? Never mind...)

Harvey Fierstein as Audrey II (I'd actually like to see that...)

Sutton Foster as Carrie in Carrie: The Musical (just the idea of that musical makes me want to kill myself)

And best of all...

John Travolta as Edna Turnblad (I would rip out my auditory nerve and use it to gauge out my eyes)

Jen Simard would make the perfect Glinda in Wicked.
She would make it worth seeing.

re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

OK, in keeping with some of the thoughts above:

Nathan Lane as Batman and Harvey Fierstein as Robin, the Boy Wonder.

Robert Goulet as Edna in Hairspray

Bruce Villanch as the Sugarplum Fairy

Harvey Fierstein as the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz

Gary Beach as Ado Annie in Oklahoma

Roger Bart as Stanley in Streetcar

Wicked: Presuming Harvey IS a jerk (and I'm not saying he is) just what does this have to do with the subject of the post?

Sheesh

re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

I'm thinking Bob Goulet as Morrible. Or maybe Max in the Producers?
Michael Benjamin Washington as Ado Annie. I'd pay to see that.
Second TabooPhan with Harvey as Audrey II.

Harvey as Audrey II is inspired.

How about Goulet as Grizzabella?

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

Just for the record: I don't think Harvey is a jerk. I've met him 3 times, and every time he was a sweet heart, signing autographs for whoever wanted them. He even called me a sweetheart for a drawing I made of him and asked him to sign, affectionately touching my cheak. Wicked, I have never had a bad experience with him.

re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

not to be taken the wrong way but... harvey reacts well to kids. I am 19 and when i saw him after the show in fiddler, he was... unpersonable. I took my younger brother the following day and he signed an autograph and even agreed to a picture (GASP). So if anyone is having a problem with him being a jerk, which i would halfway agree that he is, pay a kid $5 to stand next to you outside the stage door.

re: Comic Casting You'd Like To See

I'm 17, that's only two years. Maybe (like every other person in the world) he has good days and bad days? This is simply a suggestion...
