Melissa, question. You mention the song "Marry Me a Little". I played Amy years ago and there was no song with this title in the show. Is this an added song for a more recent production? Is there a recording of it?

Blanche, the song "Marry Me A Little" was written for the original version of Company, but was deleted before opening. It was (unwisely IMO) added to the revivals. It was included on the 1995 Broadway Cast revival and the 1996 London Cast revival, both of which can be purchased from Amazon.com and other places. (IMO, go with the London cast).
I think La Chanze was the best part of the Roundabout/"Broadway" revival. I first saw her in "Once On This Island" and knew she could be a Broadway star. When she smiles, she really lights up the stage and she has an astounding voice.
When they annouced Debra Monk for Joanne, I was happy to see Monk working but I knew she really wasn't right for the role. She doesn't quite have the abrasive quality of the character. A few years ago, Carol Burnett played the role and I would have liked to have seen her do it.

I really like the addition of Marry Me A Little. I always felt the way the Amy scene in the original didn't really maintain the momentum of the scene. Playing the scene I just felt the need for some pulse-taking of where Robert at the end of what is a very emotional scene and when he's been turned down by Amy. I had the chance to play the part again after the revisions and everything seemed to make sense at that point.

I agree in theory. But with a bland production such as the Roundabout, the song makes the end of Act 1 tedious. When I saw the Roundabout show, half the audience had a left buttocks that had fallen asleep. It's one of Sondheim's quirky songs and you need an inspired performer to deliver it. Without an inspired performance, the song flops in a huge way.

Needless to say that was not the case when I performed it.
It was magnificent.
