Company/Night Music in LA

The Compay cast inludes Chris Sieber, Cady Huffman, Kevin Chamberlin, Richard Klein, Amy Pietz, Deborah Gibson among other Opens May 19 runs thru June 6.

The LA Opera production of ALNM (from NYCO) features Victor Garber, Judith Ivey, Zoe Caldwell, Laura Benanti, Mark Kudisch, and Michele Pawk. Begins July 7. I got 7th row center the minute tix went on sale.

I swear, sometimes LA is truly better than NY.

Wow, what a couple of casts! Is Kudisch leaving ASSASSINS early to do ALNM? What theatres are housing these?

Company is at the 500 seat Freud Playhouse on the UCLA campus; ALNM is at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion at the Music Center. Mark K. was listed in the ad in today's LA Times.

Too bad it is a reprise show. I have decided to ban them. The last good thing I saw there was Hair. Everything else has always been embarrasingly bad. I still cringe at having to sit through patty Duke in Follies. It was a sad day in american theater.

I stopped going to Reprise pretty much too. The casting changes are annoying, they raised the ticket price and they've done some real clunkers. Still, they did some pretty amazing stuff - Promises, Mack and Mabel, Hair, etc. - and it was a rare chance to seek New York talent on the West coast. I'm grateful I was in New York during the Follies run. Gotta admit Company sounds promising though!

I'm excited I got tickets for Company! It's perfect because I am spending my summer @ UCLA! I see what you guys are saying about it sucknig, but with that kind of cast, it can't be too bad.
