An acquaintance of mine is in a show and told me that she could put tickets at the box office and "guarantee them" for me if I would like.
She told me the price of the "company rate" and also the "regular house seat." The company rate is half the regular house seat price.
I do not quite understand what company rate means. Can someone clarify for me? I would assume she's saying that if I buy the tickets through her I will save some money, but then why would she say "or" the regular price house seat?
This is a very nice offer and I don't want to break tact or appear unsophisticated, but at the same time I'm a little confused. I want to make sure I understand this correctly.
