Here is David Friscic's review of 'Company' at Signature Theatre with Matthew Scott as Bobby and a great ensemble including 3 married couples who are really married to each other! You can see other reviews of Company as they are posted in 'Other Reviews' as they come in this week.
I saw this yesterday and thought it was terrific. The set was *very* reminiscent of Signature's Chess from a few years ago, but it works much better here. Matthew Scott was the best Bobby I've seen, and I'll leave it at that. The only real disappointment was Sherri Edelen as Joanne; I think the character requires a certain gravitas that she lacks.
Just saw it tonight and thought it was amazing. I agree with Kdogg, Matthew Scott is the best Bobby I have ever seen. I think Sherri Edelen must have gotten better because I did not find her lacking. Everything from the set, costumes, staging and casting were perfect. Certainly miles above the last Broadway revival. Proving once again the best theatre in the US is not on Broadway.
