Posted: 10/18/06 at 9:15pmI admire Bryan for his sticktoitiveness. I don't admire anything about "Lestat" except the little girl vampire, Claudia and her "I Want More" moment. She summed up they way the intelligent people in the audience felt. We wanted more. We got LeCrap.

Interview with the Vampire might be a great book, but it's too different from all the other books in the Vampire Chronicles. It's a completely different view of Lestat.
So, no, I don't think it would have been better.

A promising concept and a great cast
but it needed
A new writer
A new composing team (although it had a famous, accomplished composer)
A new director
We've got another one of these coming in from Chicago this season I'm afraid. I expect that there will be a cast album recorded for Pirate Queen though.
