Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

100th performance, July 23rd - it's the top BroadwayWorld headline right now, and that makes me happy.

Congrats on this milestone to the cast, crew, pit and everyone involved.

I heart you, Chitty!

I feel like I should see this now....especially since Paul Canaan is now in the ensemble.

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

Do any of you guys know which performance is the 100th? Matinee or evening?

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

heh. I'm wondering the same thing.

And even if I was crazy enough to sit down with a calendar and count, I would probably screw that up.

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

This is a joke, right? 100 performances? And we're CELEBRATING? There are around 32 a month, Chitty has been running since April. That's THREE months. Should we celebrate 200, 250, 300, 350? 100 is no milestone at all! 1 year, maybe, 1000 performances, maybe, but c'mon, 100?!

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

Oh, get over yourself. Perhaps it's not so big a deal, but when shows are only lasting just a few months, maybe it is a nice thing.

Doesn't hurt to let someone be happy, but please by all means, rain on the parade.

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

Well I disagree - sorry. I don't think it's a 'milestone', and I think that celebrating three months is unnecessary. Compare 100 performances to 21 years of Cats, or however many years of Les Mis, Phantom, etc - 100 performances just seems irrelevant. Btw, I am actually a Chitty fan, so have nothing against it whatsoever.

congratulations chitty! Also, congratulations to Emcee for rant of the day!

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

Well, add to that the fact that there's certainly a bit of a motion for it not to last. So, whatever it does do...

moi? Rant? Seems to be daily, now. heh. *shuffles away*

re: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!

There are people who celebrate the 100th day of every year and that happens annually, granted they're are mostly kindegarteners, but still this is more important than thatre: Congrats to Chitty Chitty!!!...And there are plenty of When the heck chitty is going to die threads that one can join if they're so non-plussed by its achievement

And if I want to, I can act like a kindergartener for a few minutes. I mean, the show makes you feel like you're five, so I'll play that card.

JakeB- Chiiiiiilll.
100 is a good number, especially since like Emcee said, there's been a bit of hoping it won't last. I'm happy with 100, and a couple hundred more after ti, at least. Join in the celebrationa t whatever is a good number for you.
