Who, in a rare, double ceremony, will be receiving their stars on the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM. They are located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, near Highland.

They will also appear on Leno tomorrow night.

i hate to mention this... but i read somewhere that the only requirement to get on the walk of fame is to make a large (as i recall i believe it was 25K) donation to the chamber of commerce of hollywood.

That's it - but I remember when it was only $5,000. A bunch of fans could get together, hold a few bake sales, and voila! A 'star' is born.

yeah the Hollywood walk of man doenst mean anything. I mean nathan lane and broderick do more theater stuff than they do for hollywood.

And that reminds me - weren't they going to do this in NY for theatre stars? I have some vague memory of Carol Channing and a few others being first.... or did I imagine that?

You don't have to do anything for Hollywood to get a star.

Have you ever seen the Hollywood stars before? Not only do they have a name on it, but beneath it they have 1 of 5 logos: Either a movie clapper, a microphone, a record, a theater mask, and a TV. These denote what profession the actor is getting the star for.

There are some celebrities (especially the old timers) who have 3 stars because they were recognized as glamorous figures in TV, radio, and movies at various stages of their life, for example.

Whether or not you have to PAY to get a star, I think it's very sweet Matthew and Nathan are finally getting on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They are the new Lemmon/Matthau for our generation and extremely well-deserving. What a pair! Congratulations!

Oh, those things are a publicity stunt now. Notice how people usually get a star right before or while they have a big movie out. Queen Latifah just got one and has a new movie opening soon.
