I actually think that NYT review is for the most part pretty fair (I seem to be one of the few people who likedthe set) and not really negative at all. Certainly other shows that have ended up on Broadway have gotten far worse... And, like I've said ountless of times, it's true that the Norman plot doesn't work (I agreed with Isherwood that it doesn't really work in the novels or miniseries either)--and that Paper Faces is one of the song highlights.
