I think this is so cool. I know he does a lot of charity for the Greek community, especially in NYC and sponsored his own scholarship for a Greek kid, so it is particularly endearing that he chose, over a year ago, to donate his winnings to a Broadway charity.


"I adore this community, and it's our responsibility (as actors) to get the message out there and continue in the fight. It's nice to have the visibility now that I can be of some real help."

I'm trying to find out from TPTB (the powers that be) if this will count to the show's Gypsy of the Year total or not.
