Contradictory info on MORE ?

Just read on Broadway.com that states MORE is closing on 4/18. But then the last paragraph says that a production spokesperson could not confirm the closing of More, saying that no end date had been set for the show.

I really want to see this show, so I hope it doesn't close. But this story is a little confusing.

Anyone have the scoop?

It's either just a misleading headline to get hits or it's just another example of Broadway.com running a 'story' before they have enough FACTS to actually run a complete and accurate story.

Thanks JP. Not really much help... They do a lot of stories about casting, but to be on the fence about a show closing seems wrong.

I just got my tickets though, so at least I won't miss seeing the show. BIG simpsons fan!

I usually find the stories on both playbill.com and broadway.com to be accurate in general (with little inaccuracies within), so maybe I am not the person to ask, but I just take that type of not at the bottom to mean "The producers won't say that this is what is happening, but it is what is happening." So they are not conflicted, they just have to say that officially that's not the party line.

Perhap, but you must admit to the average reader (myself included) it reads wacky. At the top it clearly says the show is closing. At the bottom it says very clearly that no end date has been set.

Lots of times the bottom of stories on sites will say that a spokesperson couldn't be reached, had no comment or wouldn't confirm. This time the spokesperson specifically debunked the closing date statement.

I have friends who saw the show and loved it despite what the critics said. I can't wait!!
