Could Anyone Else see Delta Burke as Velma Von Tussle??????

Wouldn't this be a great way to keep this woman on Broadway?????? I think she'd be great in this role, it's kinda like Suzanne that she played in Designing Women and it's also a bit like Ms. Meers in Millie, being that Velma is the female villain. Anyways, I thought it would be a neat choice......

OMG yes...my friend and I said that a long time ago...Delta's a former beauty queen too.

I would kill to see Delta as Velma and Kerry Kenney (Trudy from Reno 911) as Prudy

Ooooooooh, I didn't realize they rewrote the role so that Velma doesn't have to act or sing...or have any sort of stage presence...or even be particularly interesting to watch, at all.

I haven't seen her in Steel Magnolias, so maybe she's more in her element, but...did you guys see her in Millie??

I haven't seen her in anything but Designing Women, Popular and Sordid Lives. I think she'd be fine doing her normal thing, but I have read less-than-inspiring reviews about her on here. I orginally thought she'd be great as Amber(which is just like Suzanne), but I think Velma would work out well for her.

I know, I guess I didn't clarify that, opps. Anyways, I thought she'd be great as Amber should she be young enough, which she isn't. But's she's fine for Velma and I think she'll be great in it too.
