Gavin Creel, Norm Lewis (Side Show, DreamGirls) and Maya Days (JCS) will head the concert rendition of Bright Lights Big City.
The show's original worshop cast featured Patrick Wilson, Alice Ripley and Kerry Butler, among others.

Do we need to dig up this show again?
No offense to Paul Scott Goodman whom I've met and like but ... this thing just doesn't fly. At all.

I believe Kerry Butler was involved with this show a while back.
I would listen to Gavin sing the phone book (the white pages. If he sang nude, I would sit through the yellow pages as well)

I think Kerry was in one of the first workshops. Somewhere I have a tape of it. It's very post-Rent sort of angst and it's not particularly effective and there's a lot of 'so bad, it's funny' moments.

I saw Maya Days in AIDA a little less than a year ago... she isn't Heather Headley, but is wonderful to listen to. I have never seen Norm Lewis perform, but I am familiar with his work in SIDE SHOW and A NEW BRAIN... "Sailing" is a song I could listen to over and over again, and I do. I did have the wonderful opportunity to meet Norm last week in D.C. at a mutual friends' production. I only know Gavin Creel from TMM... but I simply cannot wait to see him in BOUNCE, when it comes to the Kennedy Center.
