I remember my friend Erin telling me about a plays she saw in London about a year ago.
It was on London's equivalent of Off Broadwhayc....I decided to call it the East End...I don't know if thats right or not.
Anyhow...it was about a guy l iving with his mother...II forget the exact plot but I want to say that there was something about trying to solve murders.
I remember the character eating with chopsticks, and admitting
to the audience it wasnt because he liked chopsticks...but becuz it takes longer to eat with chopsticks and at the end of his meal his mother would have cleaned up thhe kitchen.
In the end...this whole plot turned out to be a pitch of a TV show to a company.
Does anyone have any idea what show I'm talking about?
It played at the Royal Court Theatre after tryouts in Sheffield and Edinburgh. I didn't see it unfortunately but read the script; really funny and genuinely interesting. The Presnyakov Brothers other play there, Terrorism, is even better - though again, I'm only going on the script.
