I saw the Full Monty on campus a few days ago & I have to admit, I was shocked. After my last tour outing (Rent), I figured it would suck. Since my ticket was only $21.00 (best to get tix right before the show for one) and I was like 7 rows back, dead center, I thought...what the heck! I only had two exams the next day....so only felt 1/2 guilty about blowing off studying.
The women were great....most of the men were good. The lead was alittle weak at times (I think he could have been sick). Sorry I can't address the actors by name....my program is lost somewhere in my apartment. It was better on broadway, but the entire show was pretty good. The audience I saw the show with sucked b/c most were NOT students (I did see like four of my professors from the last three years). No one really got into the last number, which is the most fun!
If you have the chance to see this in your town....go see it. It's better than watching TV!!! I love touring shows...it gives dorks (like me) at small, no culture, narrow-minded black holes like Penn State something to do.
