Current HAIRSPRAY Tour Cast

Anyone seen the HAIRSPRAY tour since Prather took it over this season? How is it holding up? Debating grabbing a ticket.

I saw it a few weeks ago, and it was okay. You can definitely tell this is a non-equity production, with younger, less-experienced performers and a low budget, and there were two issues with various set pieces not appearing (once with the cast having to leave the stage and the curtain being lowered). Caroline Eiseman was great as Tracy and Deidre Lang excelled as Motormouth Maybelle. If you can get a cheap ticket; go see it—it is Hairspray after all.
