I did not like 13, but I'm just curious as to the current structure of the show. Apparently, it's now 90 minutes, and songs have been cut, and this has all happened since the 21st, when I saw it, apparently.

Could someone post a new song list, or something along those lines?

I was at the first preview, and I'll be returning for the second to last preview.

I'll be sure to post scans of the comparative scene/song list pages.

I saw the show for the first time last night and was sad because I loved what I had heard of opportunity, but I assume the change is only for the better because the drama isn't heightened enough to have a need for an intermission then. That being said I LOVED the show. I thought the music was awesome, the book was really funny, and I think that Allie Trimm has a HUGE career ahead of her. She was really incredible in every way.

Looks like it's a good thing I waited until after previews for this one to sort itself out.

That being said, wouldn't the extended runs in Los Angeles and at Goodspeed have been the best time to make all these drastic cuts. Did they really not figure out they needed to be done until right now before the big Broadway opening?

They've cut soooo many things since then and it's previews...the show hasn't opened yet so anything is game.

and they already recorded the OBCR. that was a really BAD move on their part. if they recorded the show even before it started previews then wouldnt you think that the entire show was set in stone.

what happens when a person heres opportunity on the cd then goes in to see the show w/o their favorite song in the show. that would be a huge disappointment.

But they'll get over it. They wanted the CD out quickly so that they could sell it and raise publicity..so they recorded it right away. They can always just take opportunity off the cd, anyway.

I couldn't imagine that either of the cut songs would be ANYONE'S favorite song from the show.

Not my favorite but I really loved it. My favorites are definitely Lamest Place in the World and What It Means to be a Friend, partially because of Allie Trimm's amazingness haha.

I feel bad for the girl playing Lucy, in that case. She has a fantastic voice and "Opportunity" was her chance to do something.

I wonder if this will affect the recording at all? Honestly, I don't know if I'd rather have the score that was or the score that is.

The current state of "13" is probably the same state it was in when it began --- terrible!

On Friday night, after "A Little More Homework" and the end of the story, the cast takes their bows, the band moves downstage with their instruments, and they all launch into a new encore jam called "Brand New You."

Jason Robert Brown was watching from the back of the house, and there were maybe three high-end telephoto cameras mounted where the standing room wall is, snapping away madly towards the end of the show.

"Brand New You" -- is that the new song for the finale? I hate that song.

It reminds me of a song that would be written if the Hannah Montanna songwriters and the High School Musical songwriters worked together.

Broadway Local - That song isn't new... it was there when I saw the second preview.

I'm interested to see the changes they've made... maybe I'll get a $13 ticket and go back.
