*Apparantly* Hal Prince still checks in with it at least once a year--which is more I suspect than Nunn did for Les Miz or Cats.

I'm glad to hear wonderful things about the stage version! I'm due to see the show in April at the Majestic! I saw the show awhile back when it was at the Pantages Theater in Toronto.

I have seen it 5 times, the most recently being this past December with a friend from college who wanted to see it very badly. Hugh was absolutely fantastic! I am taking my parents who have only seen it once (back in the early 90's) to see it again next week.
Even though Hugh won't be there, I am positive it will be wonderful as it always is.

According to the Washington Post... Hugh won't be back in POTO until Jan. 17th. Just to let those of you know who are interested in seeing him in the role. :)

Well, I've been looking forward to this week's performances because my personal favorite, James Romick, will be filling in for the vacationing Hugh Panero.
I'm also interested in hearing their new Carlotta, Anne Runolfsson.

i saw it last sunday and it was in pretty good shape i mean its a old show and has been around since 1988 but i loved it , and never saw it on broadway before and i thought it was amazing. We were in the balcony (but a box) and it was a little hard of hearing i dunno maybe cause of the mics or we were just high up but i enjoed it a lot
