Hi!
I am currently involved with the Spelling Bee tour, and I can tell you that "My Unfortunate Erection" is definitely in the show- there are however, a few theatres that either want us to do a cleaner version of the show, or want an intermission for whatever reason. Because of this, we are required to have a one act version (which is the entire show, uncut), and a two- act version, in which the erection song is cut and there are also a few line/ lyric changes. Chip does still get an erection in this second version, but the word "erection" is not allowed to be said. Please do not let this deter you from seeing the show, as the song is only cut in a very small number of theatres. If you are interested in seeing the show but want to make sure you will see the song performed, feel free to pm me and I can tell you if we'll be performing it in your city :)
