there's a DVD of the b'way version? i bid on this thing on EBay w/ the complete score and script and a 2 cd set w/ the org. b'way cast, but i lost!!

DOTV was a travesty of a beautiful show. It would have had a higher chance of succeeding if they stuck with the original show

I can't say I LOVED it, but I did enjoy myself. It was very campy and fun. Believe me - I've seen FAR worse on Broadway. I think the pre-publicity for this thing was so hot and heavy that even if it had been the greatest show since Oklahoma, it would still have failed. (And believe me, it was a long, long way from Oklahoma 
)

Why does everyone keep forgetting the origins of this show and associate it as a camp melodrama? It wasn't that! It was a German show that was trashed on Broadway

dance of the vampires and mandy rock my socks. unfortunately i never saw the show on broadway. but i love it!

Never liked her in DOTV. She did a mean rendition of Not Allowed to Love at the Steinman OTT in January. She sang with Rob Evan. It's the most beautiful song / performance I have ever heard
