DANIEL REICHARD in SUMMER MIX TAPE at Joe's Pub 8/12---2 Shows

Daniel Reichard will now be performing TWO shows at Joe's Pub on Sunday, August 12 at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. The 7:30 show was just added this week due to popular demand.

The concert, "SUMMER MIX TAPE", "is a mini-tribute to the making of mix tapes which truly climaxed in America in the late 1980s. The songs are classic rock. The stories are nostalgic, humiliating reminiscences of a childhood spent being the 8th of 9 children. Accompanied by a fabulous rock band, Daniel will sing some classics and lead the audience in a true celebration of summer music."

The concert will also feature appearances by Spring Awakening's Lauren Pritchard and performance artist/actress Kelly Kinsella.

How was it?? I wish I could have gone! I've watched one clip of "Just a Friend" on YouTube... such a funny blast from the past!

I was at the 9:30! He was absolutely AMAZING, and I've never laughed as hard as I did when he started with "Just a Friend." Absolutely BRILLIANT.

Rachel...you wouldn't happen to be the Rachel I knew from being around Altar Boyz summer of '05, would you? Because there was a girl at the 9:30 show who looked SO familiar to me, but I couldn't place her...now that I have the name "Rachel" in my head, I'm thinking it was more than likely this girl, haha, and I was wondering if that was you.

SS as usual Daniel was AMAZING !!! He always knows the best songs to sing and gives them the Reichard sound. He ended with my favorite "Handle with Care"..LOVE LOVE LOVE when he sings that !!!...well besides "Rainbow Connection" which he'll only do if Brian is there.
I was hoping that you'd make an appearance this time. One of these days hopefully, eh? When I get pictures from my friends I'll send them along. I'll send them to your sibling and make sure they are passed along to you.

I was at the 9:30 show with Boobs and Betty. Had a great time, as always. Loved his version of Dylan's Lay Lady Lay and the duet of A Summer Song.

I told Daniel afterwards that eight months was just too long to make us wait for one of his concerts, and to not let it happen again!

Huh, I know I posted here last night but it looks like it disappeared...

Anyway, I was at the 9:30 show, and just to reiterate what's already been said, it was amazing! My favorite part was probably Daniel singing "Just A Friend", which was hilarious. He's just so charismatic and full of energy, the audience loved it, and it was just a wonderful night. I asked him afterwards if he has any more shows planned and he said that they were working on two for the fall.

fishergirl--yep, that was me! And it was the same thing here...I saw someone who looked very familiar, but couldn't figure out where I knew her from. It was really frustrating, haha. I even considered saying hello but felt embarassed since I couldn't think of a name, and it would've just been awkward, ha. I'm sure when you tell me your name I'll remember and feel dumb though. :-p
