DIRTY ROTTEN tickets?

Posted: 2/5/05 at 2:58amAre there cheap seats available for this show while it's in previews?
re: DIRTY ROTTEN tickets?#1
Posted: 2/5/05 at 3:18amThere are several discount offers available over at broadwaybox.com for $61.25 tickets. But, if you want cheaper than that (and who doesn't?) there is a daily lottery for front row seats for $26.25. Tickets go on sale two hours before each performance and it allows you to buy up to two tickets for $26.25 each (21 are available for each performance).

Does anyone know how popular Dirty Rotten rush is? How many people show up at the lottery every night? Does anyone know if Tuesday night is the least popular night/ how many people would be there on a Tuesday?
Thanks in advance guys!

TDF is the Theater Development Fund... That's the TKTS half price booth in Times Square..
.. and really? You can get Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on TKTS? I'm surprised.

Posted: 2/8/05 at 1:09pmTDF is NOT the same as TKTS, although the company does own TKTS. If I recall correctly, you have to be a member of TDF (students with a DATED ID, teachers, union members) to access their ticket database.

Posted: 2/8/05 at 1:15pmThe TDF that the previous poster is referring to IS NOT the same As TKTS. TDF is open to teachers, clergy, students, and some union members. It costs $22 a year to join. Membership gives you access to a website where you can purchase tix. None of the tix are over $35. My seats have ranged from orchestra to back row of the mezz. This season I have seen Little Women, Spelling Bee, Reckless and Pacific Overtures, Rent, Night Mother, Twelve Angry Men, and last night I saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Most times you can only get tickets when shows are in previews. If a show starts to get a positive buzz it ceases to show on TDF anymore( Like Spelling bee is no where to be found). Other shows that aren't selling well are available on a daily basis (like Brooklyn...which I have no desire to see). Hopefully you can qualify for a membership. I'm going on the site after this post to get another pair of tix for DRS. What a great show!! (Will post my review later). Hope this helps.
