anyone remember this show at the fringe festival last year? i was obsessed with finding out its future (even asked on broadway.com)... well we finally know. here's the link to the playbill article. i'm thrilled that anna paquin etc. are going to be involved in the staged reading! i hope it gets a great reception off-broadway...

I remember I wanted to see it at the Fringe but didn't get the chance. Argh...I definitely could have skipped The Passion of George W. Bush or something.

oh plum... you should know to always go with peanuts characters over jesus, bush, or any synthesis of the two!

Wasn't Michael Gladis in both of those? i didn't see Passion of George W. Bush, but he was so fantastic as Charlie Brown in Dog Sees God. I just remember wanting to go see the Bush musical to see more of him, but I never made it. From the sounds of it I should be glad I didn't. It doesn't look like he's doing the new star-studded version, which is too bad.

I saw Dog Sees God back at that little theater downtown where Bug was playing (I can't recall the name) I know Mary Catherine Garrison and she told me about it. I didn't get to see it at the Fringe.
Alex Champlin (sp?, from Spin City) was a really good Charlie Brown though.

Loved DSG. It really deserves a long life at the Minetta Lane or some small, intimate house like that. Brilliant, witty, and surprisingly poignant play.

May it be revived soon!
My review of Dog Sees God

"I hate musicals... People don't sing in real life."
"Well, maybe they should."

I had never heard about it until today and it sounds really good. I would love to see Anna Paquin and Patrick Fugit(sp?) in it.

My sister's friend Daniel Franzese was in the original cast at the Fringe Festival. (Some of you might also know him as Damien from Mean Girls.) I wanted to see it, but I couldn't make it into the city. re: DOG SEES GOD
