Posted: 2/5/06 at 11:33pmI had a good time. There's some clever writing in Bert Royal's script and the were several standout comedic performances. I kind of had the sense that the play might have benefitted from one more draft to focus the throughlines in the story and finesse some of the awkward shifts in tone, but overall it was enjoyable.

Saw it again Sat night and enjoyed it even more. The whole cast was in with the exception of Ian (as I knew he left last week). I have to say his understudy, Colby Chambers, who is covering the roll was extremely good. It was one of Eliza's last performances. I feel the cast is still giving 100%.
I highly recommend seeing this show.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 1:10amI saw this show tonight. I admit, I was a little disappointed when I opened my playbill and saw that both Eddie and Eliza were out. Nonetheless the show was great. Logan was phenomenal (spelling?). As was Kelli. Her performance was.....speechless. Eddie's u/s ( i can't think of his name) was good. I could tell he hadn't gone on that often. Not because he wasn't good, but because his shoes were brand spanking new. The white glared off of them!! HA HA. Leave it to me to probably be the only one who noticed.

I kinda thought Ian was the weak link of the cast. Sure he's a handsome guy, but not really cut out for the stage. He was constantly trying to steal focus...I felt like I was watching a High School Production whenever I was onstage. I remember my college acting teacher saying "Anger is the easiest emotion to access...always use it as a last resort." It seemed that was all that he did.
Logan on the other hand gave one of the best performances I've seen in a really long time. Also really enjoyed Keith Nobbs and Kelli Garner. Great stage work.
