So is it a waste of time to post many "Whose your ___?" threads? Or is is a waste of time to post sixteen threads on the same topic? I guess not. So why should this be any different!
Anyway (wasting my time), I liked DOTV and TDV equally. Each production team had a unique approach to the same musical. The casts were equally talented. Mind you, it wasn't a ground-breaking, blockbuster hit, but it had good qualities and provided a good night (or day) at the theatre. MHO.

I saw a very early preview of DOTV (I think it was preview number 3) with an Austrian friend of mine who had seen Tanz Der Vampir and thought it was good but not great and said "I bet if they've brought it over here, they'll have made it so much better".
Well, by the time we got to intermission she was almost apoplectic with rage and by the end I was having to physically restrain her from charging the stage and bitch slapping Michael Crawford.
