That's just the concept recording Frank Wildhorn made last year (or in 2004) and it's finally going to be released. There hasn't been anything mentioned about a restaging, at least not yet.

I must say I really did like Dracula (and my boyfriend would actually go see it with me lol) I saw it twice last year and I am not like totally in love with it but it was great, i would totally see it if it came back!! my dad thought the music was too repetitve... if it does come back it needs a better theater... omg that upstairs bathroom was awful!! lol

no idea... I would have to find my playbill or ticket stub and they are in my "bway" box in my closet lol... I want to say it was between 7th and 8th on one of the 40's haha thats where they all are i guess though so that doesn't help! It was a tiny theater and the entrance to the balcony was off to the side (we got cheap seats I'll admit it lol but they actually were really good)

It was at the Belasco.

I love it when no one has a source for this info.

ya i know what you mean, we had really cheap seats when we saw Les Miserables but it was still amazing, the same thing happened to us at Wicked, but we got to meet the cast of Wicked later becuase i was dressed up in costume. I dresse dup in costume to go see SPAMALOT as a peasant, and tim curry and david hyde peirce had me come on stage and sing alaways look on the bright side of life, it was amazing! i wan tot do it again, but to find decent priced tickets for SPAMALOT is impossible right now

I'm not exactly sure what you are, but Dracula will not be playing on Broadway again. There was a tour planned after the show closed, but Dodgers ran into financial problems, and Dracula isn't the most sound investment.

There is a concept recording being released by Global Vision Records and there is also another Jekyll & Hyde recording being released to coincide with the current J&H concert tour.

There is a production of Dracula in St. Gallen (Switzerland) that is starting up again for another season. Maybe that's what you saw.

Dracula IS NOT reopening on Broadway, as much as some would like. I received an email from frankwildhorn.com stating that the St. Gallen production, which is quite fabulous, will be beginning its new season but is slated to close when this run is complete. It's a show that has major problems and after the atrocious run on Broadway, no producer will touch this version again. There are other versions of "Dracula the Musical" that are so much better than the Wildhorn version and there is potentially a new one in the works, who knows?...But no, Frank Wildhorn's version of Bram Stoker's Dracula WILL NOT, I repeat WILL NOT" be re-opening on a Broadway stage!

whoa! calm down buddy, all i said was that it was coming back braodway and id get to see it. i never said it was THAT version. so calm down. the only reason i used the link to that one is cuz as i CLEARY stated about 30 times, i cant find the other one. the one i gave to some one else was just to give them an idea of what dracula the musical was.

First off, only Wildhorn's verions has LIFE AFTER LIFE, the song. So, yes, you DID say that it was the Wildhorn version.

Please don't join BWW and start a thread on a topic that has NO merit in language that you should be ashamed to pass as English.

Maybe you are thinking of Lestat, but as it was already pointed out, that wouldn't have the song Life After Life in it because that's Wildhorn's. Lestat is based on the Anne Rice book and is by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, and isn't even close to the Wildhorn Dracula that you posted a link to a concept recording.

What...dreams. My username REFERS to Dracula, a show I saw twice. Despite its many flaws, I loved it...and wish I could see it 10 more times. But it closed, and life has moved on.

Go to Switzerland and see it.

I'm still freaked out that he/she goes to shows "In Costume"... What will you go as when "Dr. Doolittle" comes to town, A Horse or an Ass? If you get called up onstage, It must be the latter.

actually i dont plan to see dr.doolittle, thank you very much! and as for me dressin gup for things, i liek to have in life, im sry if you cant have fun. i know when to be serious and when to have fun. we dressed prpoerly for things liek les miserables, and then we had costumes for things like SPAMALOT, which, if you watch things that invovle Eric's work, you would know he would WANT people to dress up when they perform. and we did, and pretty much got rewarded for it.
