My family's looking to get tickets for a show next month and I'm trying to see if Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is going to be appropriate...the ages are 19, 17, 16, 14, 14, 13, and 11. We're mainly concerned about the 11 and 13 year old...they've seen Rent and La Cage..but is DRS overly sexual and stuff? Let me know! Thanks!

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:46amYeah, 11 and 13 can easily watch DRS. It's not AVENUE Q. There are some words like 'ass', '****', '****ers' in the lyrics, but nothing worse and I'd think they're fine with it.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:49amI took my 11 year old brother and it was fine. As long as you're not extremely concerned about language (they use s*** and f*** in song, I believe). Here's what it says on Telecharge: "Audience:May be inappropriate for 11 and under. (Adult themes, strong language. No nudity and no overt sexuality.)" I would say go ahead.

Posted: 8/10/05 at 11:49amI took my 13 year old in May....I must say I did wince a few times knowing she was next to me (in Oklahoma?, GBS, and All About Rubrich(sp?)). But she absolutely loved it, as did my theater-phobic husband. I am not proud of the fact that she can sing the entire soundtrack word for word...I just tell her not to talk to her friends about that show. We live on the West coast, so no worries until this show tours. I LOVE this show, but wouldn't tell my friends to bring the family. If your 11 year old has seen RENT, then this will be harmless in comparison.
