Hey, does anyone know where to look for a dvd or vid of Wicked, and if poss. of Seussical? I am a huge bway fan but live in UK so i don't get to see much..I saw Wicked though and HAVE to have it cuz I LOVE it so much and will probably never get to see it again (unless I miraculously become rich enough to afford plane tickets - which is unlikely atm) BUT ANYWAY going back to my original q, can anyone suggest where to look please?

There arent any professional recordings, and any recordings of it would be illegal...

Grace: I just gave a quarter to a homeless man. I think it was Johnny Depp.

Very hidden. And theatre staff are becoming more vigilant in nabbing would-be bootleggers.

These people who have turned this market into a thriving business, making poor quality videos then making copies and selling them at inflated prices. So, you pay more for one of these DVD's than you would for a good seat to the show and get a bluury, shakey image with sound so dim you can't make out the lyrics. It does not serve the show well at all. The cast/creators don't get any of that money either.

Best bet is to enjoy the cast album, and wait for a production to open near you. Or save up your money and come see the show live on Broadway. There is nothing like that experience, and it isn't just seeing the show. It's the whole event.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

It is illegal. And even if you did have a bootleg the quality wont be great and you would most likely not be able to see facial expressions. Also you risked a lot posting about bootlegs!
