Is the Jervis on the newer recording the same as the one on the original (including the cut songs, if that clarifies) They both just sound completely different, but the only two Jervis's I know of are Paul and Adam! I adore this show. Regret I missed it while I was in NY last week!

That information is in the original album's track information - Jervis for that album was sung by Paul Gordon, the show's composer.

On the ORIGINAL cast recording from 6 or so years ago, ROB HANCOCK (not Paul Gordon) plays Jervis. He starred with Megan McGinnis in pretty much every production of the show before the current Off Broadway stint which opened with Paul Alexander Nolan (who is on the newest recording).

Then clearly they have to update that. Oops! I thought that was weird, to be honest, but I went with it since that's what amazon and iTunes metadata had told me.

If I remember correctly, there are *3* recordings of Daddy Long Legs that have existed.
1. Original concept album; sung by Paul Gordon and Leslie Henstock. I think this was available on Paul's personal website; probably doesn't exist anymore? I have a copy somewhere; my sister followed the making of this show wayyyyyy back in the day before it was ever staged so we have some pretty old stuff that Paul released. (ETA: Found it. 14 songs)
2. Original "regional" album (I don't know what to call it; it's the one they recorded when the show first premiered in California), starring Rob Hancock and Megan McGinnis (I saw this twice when it was in Chicago way back in 2008? 2009? I forget. It was lovely).
3. Original Off-Broadway recording sung by Paul Alexander Nolan and Megan McGinnis
They just need to transfer the show to Broadway and get another album and we'll have four, haha.

There are two demos with Jayne Paterson. The first one is only her, from when Jerusha was going to be the only voice in the show. Paul Gordon joined her for the second demo, the one which was available on his website. There's also a recording of the Japanese production. I've never heard about another demo with Leslie Henstock. I know Leslie did the original workshop and I could have sworn that my demo has her voice on it, but maybe it's Jayne.
