re: Damn Yankees 1994

ah yes now i remember the other reason i cancelled my production, i based my concept off the revival recording...then read the licensing script

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

re: Damn Yankees 1994

I was in a community theatre production of this show ages ago, so I went to the revival because I wanted to bring back fond memories. I actually liked this production and liked Bebe as Lola.

I saw the national tour with Jerry Lewis and loved it. The revival cd is excellent with a fabulous overture.

re: Damn Yankees 1994

See we used the original CD when we first started to get a feel of it and we all hated the original people like Gene Stapelton as Sister annoyed us all to no end... But I liked the original Joe...

Has any1 else played Smokey?!

i cant think of her name right now, but the woman who plays Meg in the revival, has she done anything else tv or theatre wise? I think she sounds wonderful!

re: Damn Yankees 1994

The revival orchestrations are available for licensing, just not through MTI. MTI, you must realize, it an agency designed first and foremost to make money for themselves. So, when a new arrangement is done, if MTI doesn't negotitate to hold those rights as well, then of course they're going to say that there's no way to get them. Much like the new arrangements to Peter Pan, you'd have to license the show as normal, and license the orchestrations seperately through the production offices. Just FYI.
