She was pregnant. I thought I read she wasn't anymore, but I can't find the link. At any rate, she was always scheduled to leave the show due to her pregnancy.

Posted: 1/12/06 at 6:54pmI'm surprised. I had heard she had a miscarriage, but I saw her and never once did she look pregnant, so personally I have no idea. Plus she could have stayed too. Perhaps it will become another Jennifer Westefeldt and we may never know...

I'm sure they would have found a way around it, to keep the original cast member, this early in the run, far from Tony time. Sad, I'll miss her. She has a wonderful voice.

Well, apparently they didn't. I could be totally off base here, but it just seems like there'd be wrangles with Equity if the second actress was already contracted and the first actress tried to remain with the show, regardless of the circumstance.
I don't know anything other than she was always supposed to leave at this time. I'm just speculating about the rest.
