David Campbell

When the Production Company in Melbourne, Australia stages the concert version of SUNSET BOULEVARD later this year, David Campbell will be Joe Gillis opposite Judi Connelli. He replaces Michael Cormick who sang the role opposite Connelli in Sydney last year. Cormick will instead go into THE WOMAN IN WHITE in London starting July 11.

Also, the gorgeous and talented Adam-Jon Fiorentino will finally get to play Tony Manero in the West End production of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER starting in September. Fiorentino has been headlining the Australian tour for over a year to rave reviews. See my Fan Photos for a glimpse of him in action!

I saw his John Bucchino show at Joe's Pub (which was awesome) and I kind of met him at a cabaret/piano bar in Bucks County. At the time, he had his hair buzzed down, had girl with him, and looked totally hot and adorable. He's kind of tiny.
Love me some DC.

To paraphrase Merman's comment on Mary Martin: "David Campbell is all right--if you happen to like talent."

To lower the tone of the converstaion just a bit, he is also hot.

Ask him when his new disc will (finally) be released--both in Oz and the US.

Judy Connelli is not exactly chopped liver either. This is good casting for a mediocre show. Almost worth a 20 hour flight from New York....

The great sadness is that Anthony Warlow won't be repeating his performance as Max, which he sang at the Sydney concert. I think the role is still up for grabs.

It's been turned down by a few people who are unavailable. I think they're looking at some opera singers now.
