This is such a wonderful find: David Carroll singing Someone is Waiting from the 1987 off-Broadway production of Company.

Such a glorious voice and he brings such warmth and emotional depth to this song (as if it needed any more!)

Wonderful.. A great talent tragically lost so young. I didn't see this production but was lucky enough to see him in "Chess" and "Grand Hotel"..Thanks for posting!

Not sure why that YouTube recording is truncated. Then whole show exists on a recording. His "Being Alive" is nearly definitive.

He really was amazing :) Definitely my favourite male voice of all times.
