Didn't see this posted. According to Deadline.com, Zellweger will be appearing in a Broadway adaptation of THE HUSTLER. Here's the article:
Renée Zellweger will star with Johnny Knoxville in the comedy that marks the actress’ directorial debut. K5 International and PalmStar Media Capital concluded a financing and sales deal today on the film, which K5 will introduce to buyers in Toronto. 4 1/2 Minutes is set in New York City’s stand-up milieu with Knoxville playing a commitment-phobic comic whose life is falling apart when he takes a job looking after single-mom Zellweger’s genius son. The story is based on the comedy of real-life stand-up Dov Davidoff. Warrior‘s Anthony Tambakis penned the Zellweger and Tambakis are already working together on TV drama Cinnamon Girl, a 1970s-set project that the pair co-created and which Lifetime picked up to pilot in July. She’ll also star in the upcoming Broadway adaptation of The Hustler, written by Tambakis and to be directed by Warrior‘s Gavin O’Connor.

Interesting. I was just wondering what she was up to.
I can't think about Renee Zellweger anymore without thinking about this Tracey Ullman sketch. I've watched it a dozen times and it always gets me:

haha, I hadn't seen that video. Thanks for sharing Whizzer.
Pretty funny, right?
There's another she does of Zellweger, but I can't find it right now. Zellweger is cast in a Magnificent Obsession type film, but instead of being blind she develops a terrible squint! She asks the doctor, "How long...am I...going to have...this squint?!?!" It's hilarious.
I keed the Zellweger.

I saw this thread and I was trying to imagine how the pool shooting scenes were going to come across on Broadway.
And then I opened the thread and realized that Renee is not going to be in the Piper Laurie role.

Bizarrely enough i was just thinking about her on Broadway recently. i hope this leads to more ventures i could see her being a startlingly good Amanda in Glass Menagerie. If you've seen picture this you know what i'm talking about.

Wow, people on this board will believe anything. The Hustler? Please. Directed and written by people involved in Warrior? You would think by this time that someone would understand what PR bullcrap is, but I guess not.
