Regarding Hedda casting:
"How about Anika Noni Rose and Terrence Howard?"
Wow, that's perfect casting. Anyone married to that guy would HAVE to be bored out her mind and WANT to shoot herself.
I like the Martha Stewart idea.
Him: "Hedda Gabler. MY Hedda Gabler"
Her: "I just want to focus on my salad."
BTW, I don't think reviving CABARET is a good idea. It's done, lets get something new.
I think that Roundabout's original plan was to use the Henry Miller's as a place to house shows with longer runs then roundabout would normally do in their other two Broadway houses. And they would still use Studio 54 and American Airlines to house limited engagements.
I would pay to see Kristy McNichol in anything.
And if they cast Anika and Terrence, maybe she could shoot him instead of hewrself.

I'll take HEDDA over CABARET. A brilliant, beautiful text.
Am I the only one always excited to see a new Hedda? Admittedly, I'd prefer A Doll's House (has it been done in NY since Janet McTeer tore through it?), but I love some Ibsen! That said...perhaps another unpopular opinion, but am I also the only one who hated Cate Blanchett's Hedda? I mean...the woman is one of the finest actresses of our time. But everyone makes mistakes. And I think that performance was hers.

Although I love Hedda and Cabaret, they have both recently been done. I would really rather see something that hasn't been done to death.
Patash, I'm kidding. Since Terrence and his whole revival was reviled around here.
