Thank you! I'm here all week. Tip the waitresses. Try the veal! And read my column, as it touches on this very subject.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Lot's of epople die every day. I think it seems like a lot of celebs only because those are the ones we hear about beyond our own friends, aquaintances, etc.

I'd be will to be that just as many accountants, waiters and stock brokers died recently.

With the exception of Barry White, they all had a long & healthy life. Barry White's death was a shock;the rest of the group were not . What was the shock is how they all went in a group

Some of my favorite Peck roles : The Boys From Brazil & yes Moby Dick - He played against type & was great

So, what you're saying is that actors should stop dying, right?

Nope. It is something we will all do one day whether we are rich or poor. All I was remarking was I never saw so many big names go in such a short period of time. Nothing more & nothing less.

Yeah, weren't all of these people over 90? No surprise there that they would have died. barry White wasn't as old but he was overweight, i beleieve he was a smoker and I heard from someone that he had had a stroke already and had a heart condition.

Buddy Hackett...don't know how old he was but had to be 70's-80's, was overweight, a drinker, a smoker...again, no big shock
