Yes, I recently got my hands on Debbie Gibson's Broadway Album "Coloured Lights" and even though I didn't even have to pay anything for the album (a friend pretty much hot potatoed it to me), I still feel like demanding my money back!

Okay before I got into a full scale snarky attack, I will mention what I thought was good:

"Maybe this Time" from 'Cabaret'. This is like the one song I think she actually captured the actual spirit of the song and show in question. I could actually feel emotion in the song, like she was in some wonky 30s German nightclub not actually certain of what tomorrow will bring.

For the most part some the rest of the songs where just blah, and a few actually worked... a bit... but there was parts that just screwed the song up. Like "I Rather Leave While I'm In Love" (The Boy from Oz). She started off okay, but all of a sudden 2/3rds of the way through it developed into a pop song complete with the annoying chorus! It is like some wankers behind the scenes said 'oh Debbie thats great! do it!' without even at least trying to tell her the meaning behind the song.

Okay, the worst - "On My Own". An entire Generation of broadway geeks grew up in what arguably is one of the most well known songs of unriqueted love ever. Yet somehow she turns this song into a wonky uneven pop-ditty (a BAD pop-ditty mind you) that Céline Dion would bitch slap you for doing so gosh-darn badly!

I mean she talks through most of it! (I know there is a bit of talking at the beginning, but she doesn't even try, she pretty much walks through the song).

Also please... the day she attempt to play Mama Rose again... let the world go collectively deaf.

No, she doesn't do Rose. She does Louise. She was Louise opposite Betty Buckley as Rose at Paper Mill and the opening track on Colored Lights is Let Me Entertain You.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Opps. My bad. Yes, it was Louise not Mama Rose. I guess that a brain fart on my behalf. *blush* I knew that as well! Ack! What I was trying to say is if she plays Mama Rose in the future (since she is getting a little to old to do Louise), then we should go collectively deaf.
