I just found some video footage including clips of the new production and a short history of Debbie Does Dallas........
their production looks disgraceful!
it was quite offending seeing such ****e choreography and vocals from an official production of a musical i like dearly!!!

The actors sound just BAD!
That said the Off-Broadway CD is wonderful, and I've heard that the show as a whole is good.

This Australian hangs head in shame.
The show will run at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne. (I think)

yeah sherie rene scott rocks my world on the cast recording...ah god i love her and the way she acts as debbie compared to cathy in Last 5 Years is such a great way to show off talent!
I love her and i love the recording, but WTF have they done to it!!!!!?

I work part time in the theatre building where the show will be playing. Whenever I go to work I walk past their tacky poster I can't help think that last month we had the star packed revival of Twelve Angry Men, this month it's Debbie Does Dallas! Ah, as they say "There's No Business Like Show Business...."

Sadly, that production looks to be at least 10 times better than a local production of "Debbie" I saw last year. It was all I could do to sit thru the entire thing. But I had to -- the producer/director is a friend. Yikes...!

I started to watch this at work, and though I work for a very liberal organization, I quickly decided against it!
I loved DDD in NYC. It was a laugh-riot with terrific performances.
