Deep Creek Lake supports the Arts

I just wanted to let you know about some of the things that the Spiker Team are doing to help enhance the quality of living here in Deep Creek Lake. I have been lucky enough to attend the last two Pittsburgh Symphony performances at Wisp Resort and absolutely loved the experience. Last year I brought my two boys, ages 16 and 14, to watch a very powerful show that was based on the popular movie composer John Williams. The highlight of the night for them was during the last part performance when they played the popular scores from Star Wars. I would strongly suggest you make it to the next symphony performance.
Spiker Team announces 2010 Support

Each year the Spiker Team of Long and Foster REALTORS choose a local organization to support by donating a portion of their earnings directly to the organization. They are proud and happy to announce the 2010 recipient as Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (GLAF). http://www.artsandentertainment.org
The Garrett Lakes Arts Festival's (GLAF) mission is to enrich our community with high-quality performing arts and arts education. GLAF's primary purpose is to improve the quality and increase the scope of performing arts for local residents and visitors to Garrett County. They consider high-quality performing arts to consist of nationally, regionally or locally recognized artists in the fields of dance, music and theater. This year GLAF will be celebrating 24 years.
Performances this year include The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Pops and Classical concerts in July as well as six-time Grammy award nominee John McCutcheon in August. A complete schedule is available on their web site.
