Def Poetry Jam

This show is coming to the Edinburgh Festival but if I see it I will miss out on another show which I can only fit in at the same time DPJ is on! So.. what's the show like? Is it good? Bad? Funny? Value for money? Opinions would be very helpful.

I didn't see it, but I wasn't impressed with what they did at the Tony's. It seems like they can get their message across in 2 minutes, so why sit there for 2 hours (or however long it is)?

I thought the DPJ was exciting for about 20 seconds, then I ran to the kitchen for snacks and made two quick phone calls. When I got back to the TV, DPJ was over. Shucks! I'll catch it on the speed-thru.

dpj was really good. what they did on the tonys was the ending of the show. in the actual show they all do about 4 poems each that are all very different. each of them write their own poems which makes it even better because you know what they are saying is really how they feel and not just something that was given to them to say. some of the peoms are very funny and some are very serious. serveral of them are very poltical. the only way i would say not to go is if you are a republican.
