I can't wait! The story sounds very interesting and I'm sure Ahrens and Flaherty have come up with a stirring book and score. And what leads - LaChanze as a runaway slave and Rachel York as the white woman who harbors her. They both will play their characters through a span of decades, so they get to flex their acting as well as singing muscles. They had great chemistry together in "Lucy." This show should be terrific.
Exactly, everything they write is awesome..just this past month I happened to catch performances of Seussical, Lucky Stiff and My favorite year. And earlier this year I saw "Man of No Importance" that is probably now one of my top 5 fave shows!

I think Ahrens and Flaherty can do some pretty interesting stuff, so we have reason to believe this will be too.
